Money Trail #5 Chutes Out Recap: After almost a month off, the hometown heroes and leading ladies of Maple Grove Raceway’s Money Trail Series packed the pits on Sunday, June 13th, for race number five. Due to safety concerns, racing was shortened to 1/8th mile. In Super Eliminator, we saw the return of Hometown Hero and former NHRA Jegs Allstar winner Eric Reiff in victory lane when he defeated fellow hometown hero Kyle Robb in the final. Pro Eliminator saw defending track champion and D1 champion, Marty Flegal Jr. pick up his first win of the season when he defeated former track champion, Robert Smith in the final. The always tough, Sportsman Eliminator, saw D1 legend Dave Sciarretta pick up a popular win over fellow hometown hero, Fast Eddie Beidler in the final. Dave picked up the first ever ‘Billy’s Top Dog Award.’ This is an up and coming special award given out by Maple Grove Raceway Official, Billy Kleinspehn, for the best winning package in the final. Dave was awarded this honor after he ran 7.401 on his 7.40 dial. Top Bike saw two legends in the final with former track champion, Bruce Gockley denying Keith Alesin the win. Jr. Street saw leading lady, Olivia Mowday pick up her second straight win of the season over defending track champion, Jordan Youndt. In the Jr. Dragster final it was Deja vu when both hometown hero, Danny Spotts and leading lady, Paige Ketterer in the final. Paige denied Danny a sweep of the weekend with the win in Jr. Dragster. Trophy saw the return of former track champion and hometown hero Bob Bechtel return to victory lane when he defeated fellow hometown hero, Curt Rubendall Jr. in the final. Join in on congratulating your hometown hero’s and leading ladies on their wins this weekend!

All attention turns to this weekend for a double header of the Money Trail Series races on Saturday and Sunday. It all starts when Father’s Day weekend kicks off with a John’s 625 Automotive Fast Friday Test and Tune. This is one weekend you don’t want to miss! BE THERE!!!
