Thimm, Miles Return to Victory Lane in Midnight Run

By: Billy Kleinspehn

Fresh off a back-to-back points weekend, the stars of the Maple Grove ET Series returned to the House of Chaos for Championship Weekend.

Race 7 — the penultimate event of the season — also featured two special contests: the NHRA.tv Challenge and Summit JDRL Challenge, giving racers a shot at taking home a prestigious NHRA Wally, named after NHRA founder Wally Parks. When the dust settled late Saturday night, several fan favorites stood tall in victory lane.

  • Super Pro: Erin Thimm ended an almost year-long drought, earning her first Super Pro win since the Gambler’s Race at last year’s season-ending Test & Tune. Thimm defeated current points leader Jimmy Stack in the final.

  • Pro Eliminator: Brent Miles also broke a year-long winless streak, taking his first victory since the Saturday Pro Dial class at Super Chevy 2024. He topped Ray Barlow’s Mustang in the final.

  • Sportsman: Dave Harvey III claimed the win over defending champion Charles “Butch” Weinreich, who impressively made three finals over the past two Saturdays.

  • Jr. Dragster: Anthony Maglicco continued the family tradition of success, winning both the class and the Summit JDRL Challenge, defeating Michael Antonette in the final. In the 6–9-year-old Junior Dragster division, Lorenzo Gianatiempo captured the win.

  • Jr. Street: Troy Stinkie took home the win against newly licensed rising star Paisley Anderson.

  • Top Bike: Former D1 Champion Kevin Twardowski returned to victory lane at The Grove, besting first-time finalist Daniel Young.

  • Mini Bike: For the third straight event, it was the Motta and Grey show in the final, with Michael Grey edging out Gregory Mottas.

The night also featured two special Gambler’s Races:

  • Big Car Gambler: Brock Moshier over Dennis Kessler

  • Jr. Gambler: Madelyn Brockmeyer over Charlie Blittersdorf

Witkowski earns first Big Car win • Anderson makes two finals in season finale

By: Billy Kleinspehn

After a thrilling season that began back in May, the stars of the ET Series packed Maple Grove Raceway for Championship Sunday — the grand finale of the 2025 season. This was the last chance to snag an ET Series win and, for some, to lock in a championship at the famed Grove. By the time the sun set, several familiar names had found their way to Victory Lane.

  • Super Eliminator: Mike Hoff scored his first ET Series win of the season, defeating former Jr. Dragster graduate Kyle Robb in the final.

  • Pro Eliminator: Two-time Jr. Dragster champion Matt Witkowski broke through for his long-awaited first Big Car victory, topping former track champion Paul Thimm in the final.

  • Sportsman Eliminator: Charles “Butch” Weinreich bounced back from a runner-up finish the day before, defeating Ted Meyle for the win.

  • Jr. Dragster: It was an all–Leading Lady final, with Erin Willing claiming the victory over Paisley Anderson.

  • Jr. Street: Another all–Leading Lady showdown saw Victoria Allen score her first career Jr. Street win — in her very first event — over Anderson. Anderson also made history as the first Leading Lady to reach the finals in both Jr. Street and Jr. Dragster at the same ET event.

  • Top Bike: Lawrence Currie grabbed the win over Stefanie Koehler.

  • Mini Bike: Gregory Mottas redeemed his runner-up finish from the day before by defeating first-time 2025 finalist John Bertges.

👏 Join us in congratulating all the winners from Championship Sunday and wrapping up an unforgettable 2025 ET Series season!
