Saturday, October 15
This Saturday is the “Last Hurrah” E.T. Bracket race for the 2016 season. The event is structured similar to a normal E.T. bracket race. However, no points will be awarded to participants. All entry fees and purse structures reflect that of a normal Money Trail E.T. Bracket race. The “Last Hurrah” is open to any racer wishing to run, not just Money Trail participants. This includes all Junior Street and Junior Dragster racers as well.
Super Pro: $75
Top Bike: $45
Jr. Dragster: $30
Jr. Street: $30
Gates open for the “Last Hurrah” at 8AM. Time trials are set to begin at 9AM, and eliminations start after two rounds of time trials. Dress warm and please be advised, due to weather conditions, racing may be subject to change to 1/8th mile racing. In addition to the Last Hurrah, the Money Trail ET Shootout race for the golf cart has been moved to October 15th as well.
The Money Trail ET Shootout format has evolved into what it is today; a 16 car and bike field. A drawing is held after race number 15 in the Money Trail Series where four names are chosen from Super, Pro, Street Eliminator and Top Bike. Only winners, runner-ups and semifinalists during the 2016 Money Trail season are entered into this special drawing. Some racers might have only one entry, while others could have more, depending upon their finishes throughout the season.
Over the years the golf carts have been awarded to 1 Super driver, 3 Pro Drivers, 1 Street driver and 3 have been awarded to Top Bike with one rider taking 2 carts home! Originally, the Golf Cart Shootout was to take place on Sunday, October 2 during the Dodge NHRA Nationals. However, due to weather, the shootout was moved to Saturday, October 15 during the Last Hurrah E.T. Race.
Gates open at 8AM and time trials begin at 9AM. Eliminations will begin following two time trials. All rules pertaining to the Shootout will be in effect. If for some reason, rain would cancel on track activity for October 15th the rain date for the Shootout is October 16th during the VW June Bug Classic.
