Frank Hawley's NHRA Drag Racing
School Returns to Maple Grove! -Frank
Hawley's Drag Racing School, the official school of the NHRA, will
return to Maple Grove Raceway in 2003. "The response we get from racers
and fans in the Northeast is
tremendous", said school founder Frank Hawley. "George Case and his
staff have always provided a first class facility for our school and we
can't wait to visit them again this year. We'll also be adding
our exclusive Reaction Time Clinics this year, for the experienced
racers to bring their own cars and work on their car and driver reaction
times. These clinics will run between the Englishtown national event
and the Maple Grove points race. It should be great! added Hawley".
For more information on the Hawley
School at Maple Grove Raceway call 888-901-7223 or go to
frankhawley.com.
Rain Man T-Shirts - As many of you are
aware the NHRA Northeast Division does not have a jet track dryer. The
majority of the tracks that contest Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and
National Open events do, but the addition of a second jet at these
events would speed up the drying time and get everyone back to
racing
much faster when there is a rain delay or oil on the track. Many of the
sportsman racers
have asked the Division to get a track dryer to help produce better
events, so we are now seeking sponsorship and financial support for that
purpose. T-shirts are free with a $20 donation to the NED Tack Dryer
Fund. For further info call the NED office 215-343-2558.
