(-) Bill Reichert '97 Bowen 6.074 177.54 (-) Steve Cantrell '98 dragster 6.378 233.94 Reichert looked like a cylinder wasn't there even before the green, but the car launched and ran solidly until he started to near the centerline close to 1000', and he called it off, possibly something going away on the car.
(-) Ben Barnes '91 dragster 6.274 217.86 (-) Doug Foley '93 Burgan 6.279 176.12 Barnes' car sounded flat for the whole run, while Foley was strong out of the hole, a big pop from the supercharger signalling the end of his run. The bump moves to a 6.378.
(-) Bruce Insinger '94 Keir 5.774 229.24 (-) Shawn Bowen '97 dragster 5.608 248.55 Insinger is sporting the Trane and CarStar graphics. Bruce got loose on top end, and threw the chutes just a hair early, still posting a good ET, and Bowen an even better one.
(-) Michael Gunderson '97 UBC 5.664 249.16 (-) Jeanie Booz '96 dragster 5.807 238.53 Booz lays down a very straight pass, while Gunderson had some steering to do, still keeps it in the groove, fast and clean.
(-) Fred Ahrberg '86 dragster 6.092 216.76 (-) Cliff Bozelli '92 Jenkins 13.303 53.30 Ahrberg ran the first half clean, but ran as close to the centerline as possible through the traps without hitting the foam blocks. Bozelli shut off about 100ft downtrack.
(-) Wayne Celko '98 dragster 6.066 198.23 (-) Gary Parks Jr. '98 Hadman broke Parks has a problem, so Celko will get a single.
(-) John Speelman '93 Uyehara 6.012 208.33 (-) John Rose '96 Hadman 5.737 240.83 Speelman trailed small puffs of smoke at intervals, so we're down for clean-up. The bump is now down to a 6.133.

READING, Pa. - SUMMIT FastNews - In order to start the evening Professional
qualifying session at 7 PM and still secure the track at a reasonable time,
NHRA officials postponed the final qualifying sessions for Federal-Mogul
Dragster and Funny Car to Saturday. Their first round of eliminations will
still be Saturday afternoon, between the two Professional qualifying
sessions.
