Race 4 Ronald’s House will be run twice in ’13
Novice drag racers that want to see their car can do at Maple Grove Raceway can show their stuff and support a good cause.
The Race 4 Ronald’s House, which has been successfully run by racer Denny Parisan and County Corvette of West Chester, Pa., will return for two dates in 2013 – Sunday, May 19 and Sunday, Sept. 15.
Proceeds from the events will go toward the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House and the annual County Corvette Toy Drive in December.
There will be first-, second-, third- and fourth-place trophies for the winners along with $25 Visa gift cards courtesy of Bob and LeeAnn Ormsbee of Access Insurance and Safeco Insurance Co. Plaques will be awarded for best reaction time and fastest elapsed time in the first elimination, courtesy of Fred and Emilie Schlosser.
Last year’s Race 4 Ronald’s House drew dozens of drivers with Kevin Leisey winning first place.
Deadline for entry for the first race is April 30. Any type of vehicle can take part in the race. Entry is $65 and will cost the driver and one crewmember that is seated in the car upon arrival. Spectators are $20 per carload.
Race entries and tickets must be purchased in advance. None will be sold at the gate. This can be done at County Corvette, 315 Westtown Road, West Chester.

It’s a real fun day for the beginers, and I hope to help increase the car count while raising much needed donations for The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald’d House!!! Please tell a friend.

This is not only for beginners but also for people who want to see how their car is running. I’ve been to every one and have to say it’s a great, fun experience for novice or occassional racer. I’ve established a bunch of new friendships, we help each other out on raceday, share our success and faux pas, and most importantly, raise money for a great cause. It’a a day with a lot of laughs and Denny, the Maple Grove staff and County Corvette make it a great experience. I’ll be back for both in 2013. And 2014, 2015….
