Two young racers from Maple Grove Raceway won their respective age group championships Saturday as the NHRA Northeast Division held its Jr. Dragster Championships at Mason-Dixon Dragway in Boonesboro, Md.

Mark Price Jr., of Collegeville, Pa., won the 10-11 year-old age group, while Hollie Ray-Bausher, of Shillington, Pa., won the 12-13 group.

Maple Grove Juniors who placed included Deja Brown (York, Pa.), who was runner-up in 12-13; Vincent Branca (Norristown, Pa.), runner-up in the Race of Champions; Heather Boyko (Northampton, Pa.), a semifinalist in 16-17; and Matthew Witkowski (Elverson, Pa.) a quarterfinalist in 10-11. Jeremy Ketterer (Sellersville, Pa.) was a quarterfinalist in the Consolation Race.

Price, son of Maple Grove Super Eliminator racer Mark Price Sr., defeated Jesse Marshall (Langhorn, Pa.) in the 10-11 final. He was .033 over his dial-in of 8.90, while Marshall was .058. Price made the final when Patrick Searling (New Windsor, N.Y.) fouled in the semifinals.

After a bye in the semis, Ray-Bausher was part of an all-Maple Grove final in 12-13, beating teammate Brown. She had a .101 reaction time and was .043 over, while Brown had a .129 RT and was .024 over.
