It will be a very busy Saturday at Maple Grove Raceway as a combination of Pro Mod cars, bargain hunters and bracket racers will be coming through the gates.

The annual Rumble at The Grove presented by Penske Truck Leasing will feature all of the above, which will make for an eventful day.

The Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Series returns for the first time in 2013, bringing cars capable of getting down the quartermile strip in the 5-second range with speeds exceeding 240 mph.  The cars are divided into Nitrous (Normal Aspirated) and Blower/Turbo (Super Charged).

Also racing will be the Boninfante Friction B1 Index Series. In this series, cars will compete in a head’s up format. There are no handicaps here; both cars leave the starting line at the same time.

Cars will run in three classes: 8.50, 10.00 and 11.50 and payouts are as follows:

8.50: $75 entry free with $1,000 to the winner; $500 to the runner-up; $200 to semifinalists; and $75 to quarterfinalists.

10.00 and 11.50: $55 entry fee with $450 to the winner; $150 to the runner up; and $100 to semifinalists.

The payouts are based on a 16-car qualified field.

There will be an Outlaw Pro E.T. Race, featuring door cars that run between 9.00 and 19.99 seconds. Car and driver is $50 with a guaranteed $1,000 to the winner. The runner-up will get $500 and there will be $40 round money starting in round 3.

Also on hand will be NHRA Top Sportsman. Car and driver is $125 with $2,000 to the winner, $500 to the runner-up with $50 round money starting in round 2.

Just added to the card is an import race. It’s $100 car and driver and $20 for crewmembers.

Racer gates open at 10 a.m. with time trials at 11 a.m. and eliminations in the evening. Pro Mods will have qualifying sessions at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. with eliminations starting at 6:30.
