Rainy weather washes out Sunday’s racing
May 19th
Wet weather and the threat of additional rain has forced Maple Grove Raceway management to cancel Sunday’s Super Circuit Shootout.
Rain also forced management to end Saturday’s Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail race and Super Circuit Shootout after one round of eliminations.
Racing will return next Friday with the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series presented by Penske Truck Leasing.
New .90 Super Series coming to Grove

The newly formed .90 Super Series will visit Maple Grove Raceway on May 18- 19. The .90 Super Series consists of the Mid Atlantic Super Comp Association, Mid Atlantic Super Gas Association and the newly formed Mid Atlantic Super Street Series. All Three of these series will be part of the Fourth Annual Super Circuit Showdown.
All 3 series will compete on Saturday and Sunday to give everyone a nice test & tune the weekend before the Lucas Oil Divisional Race presented by Penske Truck Leasing that will visit Maple Grove the following weekend. More >
Bracket, Sportsman racers to compete this weekend

After rain washed out Saturday’s Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail race, and the Maple Grove Raceway crew got a much-deserved break for Mother’s Day, racing will return this weekend with a full three-day card.
This weekend’s schedule starts on Friday, May 17, with another round of the popular Auto Locator Grudge Racing. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing from 5 to 10. Admission is $25 for towed entries, $20 for drive-up entries, $10 for spectators while children 12-and-under are free with paid adult.
On Saturday Maple Grove’s local racers will return for the fifth edition of the Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail.
NHRA Lucas Oil Series racers will be on hand Saturday and Sunday for the Super Circuit Shootout. Classes running over the weekend also include the Mid Atlantic Super Gas and Mid Atlantic Super Comp series, along with newly formed Mid Atlantic Super Street series. These cars are warming up for the big Lucas Oil Series event at The Grove on Memorial Day weekend.
Also on Sunday, the cars from MANDRA will race and County Corvette of West Chester, Pa., will once again sponsor a charity race for Ronald McDonald House. Drivers who want to Test and Tune are welcome, too.
And if that wasn’t enough, there will also be a Grudge Race/Test and Tune on Sunday as well.

Rain washes out Saturday’s racing
May 11th
All racing activities at Maple Grove Raceway, including the Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail, have been canceled for Saturday due to persistent rains and the threat of more.
Management made the call at 6 a.m.
Gates will be open until 11 a.m. Saturday if racers wish to pick up their cars.
Maple Grove will be closed Sunday, as scheduled, for Mother’s Day.
Grudge Racing, Money Trail this weekend
May 7th
Maple Grove Raceway will be featuring local racers this weekend as the track will run Auto Locator Grudge Racing on Friday night and one round of the Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail on Saturday.
The track will be closed Sunday for Mother’s Day.
The weekend kicks off Friday night with Auto Locator Grudge Racing. Those wanting to see what their car can do on a racetrack are welcome to enter Maple Grove’s gates after 4 p.m. Racing begins promptly at 5. Admission is $20 for street driven cars and $25 for entries on a trailer. Spectators are $10 with children 12 and under free.
The fourth Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail race of the season gets underway Saturday with gates opening at 9 a.m. and time trials at 10. Eliminations will begin immediately after the second time run.
Spectators for Money Trail events are $15; teens ages 13-15 are $10; and children 12 and under are free.
Kershner, Mellinger win index races

The debut of the Boninfante Friction B1 Index Series brought out two local winners Sunday at Maple Grove Raceway.
Jennifer Kershner (New Tripoli, Pa.) and Ron Mellinger (Narvon, Pa.) both won their respective classes as the new series was run in conjunction with Maple Grove’s E.T. bracket series, the Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail.
Both racers took home $450 for first place. The runners-up each received $150 and the semifinalists all got $100.
In the B1 Index Series, cars competed in a head’s up format. There were no handicaps and both cars left the starting line at the same time. There will be two more index races this season on June 29 and July 7. More >
