2008 Spring Flea Market

Maple Grove's Spring Flea market is officially in the books. Contrary to earlier predictions about rain , it was sunny and beautiful with hardly a cloud in the sky.  From 8:00 am on, there was a constant flow of people in the gates, contributing to a very large overall turnout, possibly even a record crowd. The pits were full of vendors selling every kind of auto part imaginable and there were plenty of cars displayed for sale, too. 

Down at the end of the pits in the garage, Tech officials were busy inspecting race cars and issuing Extended Technical Inspections and Chassis Certifications to racers meeting all the criteria.  The ETI comes in handy all year, and is essentially a "speed pass" through the tech line at any NHRA sanctioned event.
