Rain Check Policy for 2016 Dodge NHRA Nationals

On Friday, September 30, 2016 the Dodge NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway were called due to rain. Fans who purchased Friday, September 30th tickets were strongly encouraged to redeem their Friday rainout tickets on either Saturday or Sunday. Those fans who took advantage of redeeming their Friday ticket for either Saturday or Sunday are not eligible for any 2016 rain check credit toward the 2017 Dodge NHRA Nationals.
For those fans who purchased Friday tickets and were unable to use them on either Saturday or Sunday, should follow the steps below depending upon whether or not the fan originally purchased their ticket for the 2015 NHRA Keystone Nationals and redeemed it for 2016 rain check credit or if the first ticket purchased was to attend the 2016 Dodge NHRA Nationals.

When are the 2017 Dodge NHRA Nationals?

The Dodge NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway are moving back one week for 2017.

Which makes the new event dates September 21-24, 2017.

How does the NHRA Nationals Ticket Exchange Policy apply to me?

According to the NHRA Nationals Ticket Exchange Policy; “If pro nitro qualifying is rained out, the customer is entitled to 100 percent credit.*

* In the event of a rainout. Customer is responsible for any difference due to price increases, account fees, etc.”
The amount listed on a customer’s ticket is the amount of credit one receives toward next year’s tickets. If that amount mirrors the 2017 ticket face value all that is required is payment of the $10 handling fee.

If that ticket value does not match the 2017 face value. The customer is responsible to pay the price difference, in addition to the $10 handling fee.

How does rain check credit affect how I renew my Dodge NHRA Nationals tickets for 2017?

It is the customers’ responsibility to renew, purchase or redeem their rain check credit. Just because tickets were mailed back to Maple Grove Raceway does not mean those tickets automatically renewed for 2017. If a customer wishes to renew those tickets after being returned to Maple Grove Raceway, one must follow the steps in either the renewal letter or at the end of this release. Thursday, December 1, 2016 is officially the first day customers can begin renewing their tickets online and over the phone for 2017.

How much rain check credit am I eligible for with my Friday, September 30 ticket(s)?

Located at the bottom of this page is a link that shows you a flow chart specifically designed for customers who purchased NHRA Dodge Nationals tickets that reflect a full price face value. Meaning the customer did not take advantage of any promotions or discounts available throughout the year.

The simplest way to navigate the flow chart is to start with the first question at the very top which is, “Did you redeem your rain check from the 2015 event to the 2016 Dodge NHRA Nationals?” Depending upon your responses to each question, you will work your way to the bottom and see how much rain check you are eligible for and the amount still due in order to redeem those tickets.

Please be advised that if your ticket for 2016 for example shows a face value of $2, most likely, you were a 2015 rain check credit recipient as well. That two dollar 2016 ticket still holds a value of $42 for an adult general admission ticket for Friday. The reason for this is because in 2015 that ticket was worth $40. Due to rain, that customer redeemed that ticket for $40 of rain check credit to be used towards Friday of 2016. Since ticket prices increased slightly, the difference in face value between 2015 and 2016 was $2. The customer paid the two dollar difference and redeemed the $40 rain check credit. Which made their 2016 Dodge NHRA Nationals ticket valued at $42. So even though the ticket states $2 face value, between credit and paying the price difference, the customer possess a ticket valued at the full amount to enter the race for Friday of 2016. Taking that one step farther, that customer is eligible for $42 worth of rain check credit toward a ticket for Friday of 2017. All that is required is payment of the $10 handling fee.

For more information regarding the handling fee, please read the paragraph below titled Handling Fee.

What is the handling fee?

The handling fee is a universal charge for customers who purchase Dodge NHRA Nationals tickets. The charge covers credit card transaction fees, postage, etc.

No rain check credit is available for the handling fee applied to 2016 tickets. The $10 handling fee is a onetime fee that applies to each separate ticketing order. Only one handling fee is required per ticketing order, not per ticket. Like previously stated, 100 percent credit on the value of the ticket purchased is available. However, everyone is subject to paying the 2017 Dodge NHRA Nationals processing fee of $10 in order to redeem rain check credit.

The 2017 handling fee cannot be paid by rain check credit. For example, if a customer chooses to only redeem two of the three tickets for rain check credit, he or she cannot use that amount from the third ticket to pay for the 2017 handling fee.
