Maple Grove Raceway is pleased to announce the expanding partnership with Summit Racing Equipment within the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series for 2017.
Summit Racing Equipment has joined on as the title rights sponsor for both the Junior Dragster and Junior Street classes in the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series. The youth portion of the ET Series allows junior racers to race in a safe environment. With the expansion of Summit to Maple Grove Raceway’s family of sponsors, more opportunities are available to teach junior racers the safe and proper techniques of drag racing.
Currently, Summit sponsors the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Eastern Conference Finals and the Jr. Drag Racing League Challenge. When asked his opinion on the developing sponsorship at Maple Grove, Lex Dudas, Vice President- General Manager of Maple Grove said, “having Summit support the youth portion of the ET Series is a fantastic addition to the program, especially since they already have a great partnership with NHRA.”
Summit’s generosity increases the Junior Street and Junior Dragster benefits at the end of the year, which are presented at the Money Trail Awards Ceremonies. The top ten finishers in Junior Dragster along with the top five finishers in Junior Street will each receive a Summit Racing Single Layer Driving Jacket. With the jackets and cash payouts, the approximate value of the end of year benefits for the youth program are at over $4200.00 not including various other awards and prizes from Summit.
Topping off Maple Grove Raceway’s youth initiative, Summit has also agreed to sponsor the April 23rd Summit Racing Equipment High School Challenge.
In addition to being named a major supporter of the youth portion of the ET Series. Summit is also sponsoring the Summit Racing History of Speed contests at the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series races. The contest is hosted by Maple Grove Raceway’s announcer Roger Leister. There will be 15 mini-contests that take place at each of the 15 Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series races throughout the 2017 season. Summit has provided weekly prizes along with the grand prize which is a Summit Racing Equipment (single or multi-layer) driving jacket and a G-Force GF3 Series Full Face Helmet. That leaves the grand prize alone at a value of over $400. The first mini-contest begins April 23rd at race number one of the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series.
Weekly bracket racing is the foundation for pro racing not just here at Maple Grove but to the entire sport of drag racing. So to have the opportunity of continuing the development of the Money Trail program is monumental, especially when you have companies such as Summit willing to support the program. Summit Motorsports Manager, Jim Greenleaf, said “We like getting involved in programs for the weekly bracket racers.” Maple Grove Raceway is beyond thrilled to have the full support of Summit Racing Equipment for the Sunoco Race Fuels ET Series in 2017.
